Highlands Surgery is a GP training practice

We are pleased to share that Highlands Surgery is an approved training practice, meaning we have GP Registrars working in our practice, giving them quality teaching and facilities to help them transition from their role as a hospital doctor to working in a community setting. The practice has to be assessed and recognised as meeting certain standards to be able to support and train the new doctors.

This approval is recognition of the quality of care we provide and the training opportunities we can offer. For our patients, this may mean that on occasions, GPs or other clinicians may hold joint surgeries or home visits with our GP Registrars and sometimes you may be seen by a Registrar instead. We currently have three GP Registrars working with us;

Dr Adel Taha, Dr Mehreen Bhat & Dr Layla Hassan
